His reputation grew due to his supposed healing abilities and close relationship with Tsarina Alexandra, who believed he could help her son, who had hemophilia. His presence at court sparked controversy and political intrigue, contributing to unrest leading up to the Russian Revolution. Rasputin's mysterious persona, combined with rumors of manipulation and scandal, made him a symbol of the tumult and decline of Imperial Russia.
