Rani Chennamma

Rani Chennamma was a brave and influential queen of Kittur in India during the early 19th century. She is celebrated for leading resistance against the British East India Company's rule in 1824, defending her kingdom’s sovereignty. Despite being outnumbered and facing powerful colonial forces, her leadership and courage made her a symbol of resistance and patriotism in India. Her efforts inspired future struggles for independence, and she remains remembered as one of India’s early female freedom fighters.
