Randomized Control Trials
Randomized Control Trials (RCTs) are research studies used to test the effectiveness of new treatments, interventions, or programs. In an RCT, participants are randomly assigned to two groups: one that receives the intervention and one that does not (the control group). This random assignment helps ensure that the groups are similar at the start, allowing researchers to isolate the effect of the intervention. By comparing outcomes between the two groups, RCTs provide strong evidence about whether the intervention works and how well it performs, making them a gold standard for clinical and social science research.
