Radical orchiectomy

A radical orchiectomy is a surgical procedure to remove one or both testicles, often to treat testicular cancer. The surgeon makes an incision in the groin area to carefully remove the entire testicle along with the spermatic cord, which contains blood vessels and nerves. This approach helps ensure all potentially cancerous tissue is removed and provides accurate diagnosis. The procedure is typically performed under anesthesia and may be done as part of cancer treatment or diagnosis. Afterward, patients may consider additional therapies or options based on the specific situation.
