Radiation Efficiency

Radiation efficiency refers to how effectively a device, like an antenna, converts input power into radiated electromagnetic waves. It is expressed as a percentage, indicating the portion of power that is successfully transmitted as radiation versus what is lost as heat or other forms of waste. For instance, an antenna with 80% radiation efficiency means that 80% of the power it receives is converted into radio waves, while 20% is lost. High radiation efficiency is desirable, as it indicates better performance in transmitting or receiving signals.
