R-strategy
R-strategy is a reproductive approach where organisms produce many offspring with the expectation that only a few will survive to adulthood. These species often live in unpredictable environments and prioritize rapid reproduction over long-term growth or care for their young. Examples include insects and some plants. This strategy favors quantity over quality, allowing populations to quickly establish or recover when conditions are favorable. It contrasts with K-strategy, where species have fewer offspring but invest more in each to increase survival chances in stable environments.
