Quantum superposition is a fundamental principle in quantum mechanics where a particle, such as an electron, can exist in multiple states or positions simultaneously until it is observed or measured. This is akin to a spinning coin that is both heads and tails while in motion. In wave mechanics, this concept helps explain how particles behave like waves, allowing them to interfere with one another.
