Quality Improvement Organizations

Quality Improvement Organizations (QIOs) are groups that work to enhance healthcare quality and ensure that patients receive safe, effective, and patient-centered care. Funded by the U.S. government, they focus on improving health services in hospitals, nursing homes, and other health facilities. QIOs analyze healthcare data, provide training and resources to healthcare providers, and encourage best practices. Their goal is to reduce healthcare costs, improve patient outcomes, and foster a system where every individual receives high-quality care tailored to their needs.
