Qingming Festival

Qingming Festival, also known as Tomb-Sweeping Day, is a traditional Chinese holiday observed around April 4-6. It is a time for families to honor their ancestors by visiting and cleaning their graves, offering food, incense, and paper goods. The festival combines respect for family heritage with the appreciation of nature’s renewal, as it coincides with the arrival of spring. It is also an opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities such as flying kites. Qingming promotes filial piety, remembrance, and the celebration of life and seasonal change.
