Qin Code
The Qin Code was the first unified set of legal statutes established during China's Qin Dynasty (221-206 BCE). It organized laws into a comprehensive system, standardizing punishments, administrative procedures, and civil and criminal codes across the empire. This legal framework helped consolidate centralized authority, promote order, and facilitate governance over diverse regions. The Qin Code’s principles influenced subsequent Chinese legal systems and contributed to the development of imperial law, emphasizing clear, consistent rules to maintain social stability and state control.
