Pulse Pressure
Pulse pressure is the difference between your systolic and diastolic blood pressure readings. Systolic pressure is the force of blood when your heart beats, while diastolic is the pressure when your heart rests between beats. For example, if your blood pressure is 120/80 mm Hg, your pulse pressure is 40 mm Hg. It reflects the elasticity of your arteries and overall cardiovascular health. A normal pulse pressure is typically around 40 mm Hg, but higher or lower values can indicate health issues that may need medical attention.
