Prussian-German War

The Prussian-German War, also known as the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-1871, was a conflict between the Kingdom of Prussia and France. Prussia, seeking to unify German-speaking states under its leadership, challenged France's dominance in Europe. A series of Prussian military victories, notably at Sedan, led to France’s defeat. The war ended with the German states forming the German Empire, with Prussia as its leader, and France paying a large indemnity. This conflict significantly shifted European power dynamics, strengthening German unity and diminishing France’s influence.
