Project MinE
Project MinE is a research initiative aiming to understand the genetic factors behind amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurodegenerative disease affecting nerve cells controlling muscle movement. By collecting and analyzing DNA samples from thousands of ALS patients and healthy individuals worldwide, the project seeks to identify genetic mutations associated with the disease. This knowledge could lead to better diagnostic tools, personalized treatments, and ultimately, a cure for ALS. The project emphasizes open data sharing among researchers to accelerate discoveries and improve patient outcomes.
