Probability Distribution
A probability distribution is a way to describe the likelihood of different possible outcomes in a situation. It assigns a probability—a number between 0 and 1—to each outcome, reflecting how likely that outcome is to occur. For example, rolling a die has a probability distribution where each number from 1 to 6 has an equal chance of 1/6. Probability distributions help us understand and predict uncertain events, whether they're the roll of dice, the height of people in a population, or stock market returns, by showing the full range of possible results and their chances.
