Principle of Compositionality
The Principle of Compositionality states that the meaning of a complex expression, such as a sentence, can be understood by examining the meanings of its individual parts and how they are combined. In the context of general knowledge, this means that our understanding of more complex ideas or statements is built upon our comprehension of simpler concepts and their relationships. Essentially, if you know what the words mean individually, you can figure out the overall meaning when they are put together in a certain way.
