Precipitation Recycling

Precipitation recycling is the process where moisture from Earth's surface, like lakes, rivers, or moist soil, evaporates into the atmosphere and later falls back as rain or snow. This cycle helps sustain local weather patterns and water availability. When regional evaporation contributes significantly to local precipitation, it is called advanced precipitation recycling. It is a natural component of the water cycle, ensuring water circulates within an area and maintaining ecological balance. Essentially, it’s how a region’s own water contributes to its continued rainfall, forming a self-sustaining cycle of moisture exchange.
