Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association
Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association (PVREA) is a nonprofit cooperative that provides electricity to rural areas in northern Colorado. Founded in 1939, it serves a community of members, who are also its owners. PVREA focuses on reliable and affordable electric service, while promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives. It operates based on the principle that profits are reinvested to benefit the community, rather than maximizing shareholder profit. Members can participate in decision-making processes and benefit from educational resources about energy use and sustainability.
