PoS (Proof of Stake)

Proof of Stake (PoS) is a blockchain consensus mechanism that helps secure transactions and validate new blocks. Unlike Proof of Work, which requires miners to solve complex mathematical problems, PoS relies on validators who are chosen to create new blocks based on the amount of cryptocurrency they hold and are willing to "stake" or lock up as collateral. This method is more energy-efficient, as it doesn’t require massive computational power. It incentivizes holders to participate in the network while reducing the environmental impact associated with traditional mining.
