Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS)

Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) is a consensus mechanism used in blockchain networks to validate transactions efficiently. In DPoS, token holders vote for a small group of trusted delegates or representatives who are responsible for adding new blocks to the blockchain. These delegates are incentivized to act honestly since they are chosen by community votes. DPoS enables faster transaction processing and lower fees compared to other methods like Proof of Work, while maintaining a democratic system where token holders have a say in who secures the network.
