Port of Entry
A Port of Entry (POE) is a designated location where people and goods can legally enter a country. This includes airports, seaports, and land borders. At a POE, customs and immigration officials check travelers’ documents, inspect goods, and enforce laws to prevent illegal entry or smuggling. It's an important point for maintaining security and regulating the flow of people and trade between nations. When you arrive in a new country, the first place you go to meet authorities and undergo inspections is typically the port of entry.
