Polynomial Functions
Polynomial functions are mathematical expressions made up of variables raised to whole number exponents, combined with coefficients. They take the form \(a_nx^n + a_{n-1}x^{n-1} + \dots + a_1x + a_0\), where each term involves a power of x multiplied by a number. These functions can model a wide range of behaviors, from simple lines to complex curves, depending on the degree (highest power). They are predictable, smooth, and continuous, making them useful for approximating data, solving equations, and understanding patterns in various fields such as physics, engineering, and economics.
