Polymer micelles

Polymer micelles are tiny, spherical structures formed when special molecules called block copolymers are dissolved in water. These molecules have two parts: one that prefers staying in water (hydrophilic) and one that avoids water (hydrophobic). In water, the hydrophobic parts cluster together in the center, forming a core, while the hydrophilic parts face outward, interacting with the water. This arrangement creates a stable, nano-sized carrier that can encapsulate drugs or other molecules, making polymer micelles useful for targeted drug delivery, improving the effectiveness of treatments while reducing side effects.
