Polar coordinates
Polar coordinates are a way to describe a point in a plane using a distance from a reference point (the origin) and an angle from a reference direction (usually the positive x-axis). Instead of using the traditional grid system (x and y coordinates), polar coordinates use two values: the radial distance (r) from the origin and the angle (θ) measured in degrees or radians. This system is particularly useful in situations involving circles, spirals, or waves, where distance and direction are more intuitive than horizontal and vertical positions.
