Plasmas
Plasma is a state of matter similar to solids, liquids, and gases, but with unique properties. It consists of a collection of free-moving charged particles—electrons and ions—that give it electrical conductivity. Often called the "fourth state of matter," plasma is naturally found in stars, including the sun, and in lightning. It can be created artificially, such as in neon signs or plasma displays. Because of its charged particles, plasma interacts strongly with electric and magnetic fields, making it useful in various industrial and technological applications like fusion energy, sterilization, and advanced electronics.
