plant cell structure
A plant cell is a small, living unit that makes up plants. It has a cell wall that provides structure and protection, and a cell membrane that controls what enters and exits. Inside, it contains a nucleus which holds genetic material, directing activities. The cell also has mitochondria for energy, chloroplasts for photosynthesis (converting sunlight into food), and a large central vacuole that stores water and nutrients. The cytoplasm is a jelly-like substance supporting all these parts. Together, these components allow the plant to grow, reproduce, and carry out essential functions.
