Planets around Barnard's Star
Barnard’s Star is a red dwarf located about 6 light-years from Earth. Astronomers have discovered at least two planets orbiting it. These planets are much smaller than Earth; one is thought to be roughly Earth-sized, while the other is a bit larger. Because of their proximity to the star, they likely have very cold temperatures, making them less suitable for life as we know it. The discoveries help scientists understand how common such planets are around small stars and inform the search for potentially habitable worlds beyond our solar system.
