Plains Indians
The Plains Indians are Indigenous peoples who historically inhabited the vast grasslands of North America, primarily in areas that are now parts of Canada and the United States. They are known for their rich cultures, which included a nomadic lifestyle centered around hunting buffalo, which provided food, clothing, and materials for shelter. Tribes such as the Sioux, Cheyenne, and Comanche are among the most recognized. The arrival of Europeans drastically changed their way of life, leading to significant challenges, including loss of land and resources, but Plains Indians continue to maintain their cultural heritage and traditions today.
