Pinyin input method
The Pinyin input method is a system used to type Chinese characters using the Romanized spelling of Mandarin, known as Pinyin. Users first type the Pinyin representation of a word, which then prompts a list of corresponding Chinese characters. For instance, typing "ni hao" can suggest characters for "你好" (hello). This method is popular because it leverages familiar Latin letters while enabling efficient digital communication in Chinese, making it accessible for both native speakers and learners of the language. It simplifies the process of character entry on keyboards that don't include Chinese script by default.
