Pink salmon

Pink salmon, also known as humpback salmon, is a species of Pacific salmon recognized for its bright pink flesh and distinctive spawning habits. They are the smallest of the Pacific salmon, typically growing up to 3-4 pounds. These fish migrate from the ocean to freshwater rivers to reproduce, where males develop a pronounced hump on their back. Pink salmon are important ecologically and commercially, valued for their mild flavor and abundance. They have a two-year life cycle, and after spawning, most die, providing nutrients to the freshwater ecosystem. Their populations are largely found along the coasts of North America and Asia.
