Phrygians

The Phrygians were an ancient people who lived in what is now central Turkey around the 8th century BCE. They are known for their distinctive culture and contributions to art, music, and architecture. The Phrygians created impressive monuments, including rock-cut tombs and temples. They spoke a language related to Indo-European and are often associated with the legendary King Midas, who is famous for the myth of turning everything he touched into gold. The Phrygian civilization eventually declined, giving way to other cultures, but their legacy remains influential in the history of Anatolia.
