Philip Johnson

Philip Johnson (1906-2005) was an influential American architect known for his innovative designs and contributions to modern architecture. He played a key role in the development of the International Style, characterized by simplicity and functionality. His notable works include the Glass House in New Canaan, Connecticut, and the AT&T Building in New York City, which is famed for its distinctive postmodern Chippendale top. Johnson was also a prominent critic and curator, co-founding the Museum of Modern Art's architecture and design department.
