Philae lander
The Philae lander was a robotic spacecraft part of the European Space Agency's Rosetta mission, designed to study comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. Launched in 2004 and arriving at the comet in 2014, Philae's goal was to land gently on the comet's surface and conduct scientific experiments, such as analyzing its composition and structure. Despite challenges with securing a stable touchdown, it provided valuable data about comets' properties and contributed to our understanding of these ancient celestial objects.
