Pharmaceutical emulsions

Pharmaceutical emulsions are mixtures where tiny droplets of one liquid are dispersed evenly within another liquid that normally doesn't mix with it, like oil and water. They are used to deliver medications that are insoluble in water, ensuring the active ingredient is evenly distributed for effective treatment. Emulsions are stabilized with agents called emulsifiers, which prevent the droplets from separating. These formulations can be used in various forms like creams, lotions, or injectable solutions, providing controlled release, improved absorption, and easier administration of medications.
