Petit bourgeoisie
The petite bourgeoisie, often called the small bourgeoisie, refers to small business owners, artisans, and self-employed individuals who own some means of production but do not have large capital or extensive workforce. They typically work their own businesses and aim for economic independence. In social and economic theories, they are seen as a middle class that stands between the working class, who sell their labor, and the wealthy capitalists who own major industries. Their role and position can influence social dynamics and class relations, especially in discussions about capitalism and social change.
