Persian Religion
Persian religion primarily refers to Zoroastrianism, an ancient faith founded by the prophet Zoroaster (or Zarathustra) around 3500 years ago. It emphasizes the duality between truth (asha) and falsehood (druj), advocating moral choice and good thoughts, words, and deeds. Central deities include Ahura Mazda (wisdom and life), representing truth, and Angra Mainyu (destruction), symbolizing chaos. Fire is a sacred element, signifying purity. Zoroastrianism influenced later religions like Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and remains practiced today, mainly in Iran and India, by small communities dedicated to its moral and spiritual teachings.
