Peroneals

Peroneals, also known as fibularis muscles, are a group of muscles located on the outer side of the lower leg. They play a key role in stabilizing the ankle and foot, allowing you to lift the foot outward (eversion) and assist in 'pushing off' when walking or running. The main peroneal muscles are the peroneus longus and peroneus brevis. These muscles work together to maintain balance, support the arch of the foot, and help prevent ankle injuries. Injuries or weakness in these muscles can lead to instability or difficulty with ankle movements.
