People's Army of Poland

The People's Army of Poland was the military force of the Polish communist government from 1944 to 1989. It served as the country's national army during the communist era, functioning under Soviet influence and aligned with Warsaw Pact standards. Its role was to defend Poland's socialist system, maintain internal order, and participating in international military activities within the communist bloc. After 1989, following political changes and the fall of communism, it was transformed into the modern Polish Armed Forces.
