Pediatric Hepatitis A
Pediatric Hepatitis A is a contagious liver infection caused by the Hepatitis A virus. It spreads mainly through contaminated food or water and close personal contact with an infected person. Symptoms can include fever, fatigue, nausea, abdominal pain, and jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes). While most children recover fully without lasting effects, it can be more serious in some cases. Vaccination is the best way to prevent Hepatitis A, and good hygiene practices, such as handwashing, can reduce the risk of infection. It's important for parents to be aware of the virus, especially during outbreaks.
