Payload Fairing

A payload fairing is a protective shell used during a rocket launch to shield satellites or other equipment from aerodynamic forces, heat, and debris as the rocket ascends through Earth's atmosphere. Once the rocket reaches space, the fairing is carefully jettisoned and falls away, revealing the payload inside. It ensures the sensitive equipment remains safe and secure during the challenging journey through the denser parts of the atmosphere, functioning like a protective envelope that is discarded once its purpose is fulfilled.
