Paul Otlet
Paul Otlet was a Belgian librarian and information scientist, often considered a pioneer in the field of information organization. In the early 20th century, he advocated for the systematic cataloging of knowledge and envisioned a global information network. He co-founded the documentation movement and developed the "Universal Decimal Classification," a system used to organize books and information. Otlet also imagined what we would now call the internet, aiming to connect knowledge worldwide. His work laid the groundwork for modern libraries and information management, influencing how we access and share knowledge today.
