Parties (Contractor, Contractee)
In a contract, there are typically two main parties: the contractor and the contractee. The contractor is the individual or organization that agrees to perform a specific job or service, often in exchange for payment. The contractee, on the other hand, is the person or organization that hires the contractor to complete that work or deliver a service. Essentially, the contractor provides the expertise or labor, while the contractee outlines the expectations and compensates the contractor for their services. Both parties have rights and obligations defined by the contract to ensure a mutual understanding of the arrangement.
