Parthians

The Parthians were an ancient people from northeastern Iran who established a powerful empire known as the Parthian Empire, lasting from around 247 BCE to 224 CE. They were known for their skilled horse archers and effective cavalry, which made them formidable opponents. The Parthian Empire was a significant rival of Rome, often engaging in conflicts over territory and trade routes. Their capital, Ctesiphon, became an important cultural and economic center. The Parthians are also noted for their contributions to art, architecture, and the blending of Greek and Eastern cultures, particularly during the Hellenistic period.
