Parkour
Parkour is a physical discipline focused on efficient movement through urban environments or natural obstacles. It involves navigating obstacles like walls, rails, or gaps using a combination of running, jumping, climbing, and vaulting techniques. The goal is to move smoothly and swiftly while maintaining control and flow, often emphasizing creative problem-solving and personal expression. Practitioners, called traceurs or traceuses, train to enhance strength, agility, balance, and awareness. Originally developed as a way to improve mobility and adaptability, parkour also fosters focus, confidence, and physical resilience.
