Pap guidelines

Pap smear guidelines recommend that women start getting Pap tests at age 21. If results are normal, testing should be done every three years until age 29. For women aged 30 to 65, co-testing with a Pap smear and HPV test every five years or a Pap test alone every three years is advised. Women over 65 who have had regular screenings with normal results may stop testing. These guidelines help detect precancerous changes early, preventing cervical cancer. It's important to follow your healthcare provider’s recommendations based on your health history.
