Pannotia
Pannotia was a supercontinent that formed around 600 million years ago, during the late Proterozoic era. It brought together most of Earth's landmasses into a single, large landmass. Unlike the later supercontinent Pangaea, Pannotia existed for a relatively short period before breaking apart into smaller continents. Its formation and breakup played a significant role in shaping Earth's early land distribution, influencing ocean currents and climate patterns. Pannotia's existence marked an important phase in Earth's geological history, contributing to the dynamic process of continental movement that continues today.
