Pan-STARRS (Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System)

Pan-STARRS, or the Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System, is a large astronomical project based in Hawaii. It uses powerful telescopes to scan the sky and capture images of celestial objects, such as asteroids and comets. Its primary goals are to discover and track these objects, particularly those that might come close to Earth. Pan-STARRS also contributes to understanding the universe by mapping distant galaxies and other astronomical phenomena.
