Oxymetry

Pulse oximetry is a non-invasive method that measures the oxygen levels in your blood. A device called a pulse oximeter typically clips onto your fingertip or earlobe and uses light sensors to detect how much oxygen is being carried by your red blood cells. It provides a reading called SpO₂, which indicates the percentage of hemoglobin saturated with oxygen. This measurement helps healthcare providers assess your respiratory function and oxygenation status quickly and safely, ensuring your body's tissues are receiving enough oxygen to function properly, especially in conditions affecting breathing.
