Outhouse

An outhouse is a small outdoor structure used as a toilet, typically found in rural areas or places without modern plumbing. It consists of a simple wooden or metal building that contains an opening over a pit, where waste is collected. Outhouses were common before indoor plumbing became widespread, offering a practical solution for sanitation away from the main living space. They often have a wooden seat or bench over the opening and sometimes include amenities like a small window for ventilation. Although less common today, outhouses are still used in some remote locations and campgrounds.
