Ottomans
The Ottomans were a powerful empire that originated in the late 13th century in what is now Turkey. At their height, they controlled vast territories across Southeast Europe, Western Asia, and North Africa. The empire is known for its rich cultural contributions, impressive architecture (notably the Blue Mosque), and a sophisticated administrative system. The Ottomans promoted trade and interaction among diverse cultures and religions. The empire began to decline in the 19th century and officially ended after World War I, leading to the establishment of modern Turkey in 1923. Their legacy continues to influence regions today.
