Origin of Life

The origin of life refers to how living organisms first appeared on Earth. Scientists believe that, around 3.5 to 4 billion years ago, simple molecules in Earth’s oceans gradually formed complex compounds like amino acids and nucleotides. Over time, these molecules organized into self-replicating systems, eventually leading to the development of primitive cells. Conditions such as energy sources, chemical building blocks, and a suitable environment played key roles. While many details remain uncertain, the prevailing idea is that life arose through natural chemical processes that created increasingly complex, self-sustaining systems.
